Kalevala

Using the ancient oral poetry of Finland and Karelia, Elias Lönnrot wrote "Kalevala", the Finnish national epic.
"Kalevala" talks about some Finnish heroes, like Kullervo, Vainamoinen, Lemminkainen, etc.
From it, Jean Sibelius, the major and most famouser Finnish composer, took the inspiration to write most of his music.
